The Cardiac and Vascular Center's new cardiovascular surgery facilities are among the nation's most advanced surgical environments for surgery and post-surgical care of patients with complex heart and vascular disease. Among the innovative technology in the facility is a unique "true Hybrid Operating Room" - the ArtisZeego multi-access system for surgical angiography. Upon its completion, this new operating room system was reported by its manufacturer to be one of only 29 such installations worldwide.

We are proud to offer northeastern New York and west central New England the latest innovations in cardiac and vascular care, including our Heart Rhythm Center. St. Peter’s Hospital is the first hospital in New York state to receive accreditation for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) by ACE™ (Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence). Also named a Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospital for 10 of the last 12 years, St. Peter's is the only ten-time recipient of this award in the northeastern U.S. Such accomplishments underscore our commitment to creating a culture of excellence at St. Peter's.
Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award
St. Peter's Hospital has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
Hospitals must achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines-Stroke achievement indicators for two or more consecutive 12-month periods and achieve 75 percent or higher compliance with five of eight Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Quality measures to receive the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. To qualify for the Target: Stroke Honor Roll, hospitals must meet quality measures developed to reduce the time between the patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with the clot-buster tissue plasminogen activator, the only drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat ischemic stroke. St. Peter's Hospital the award by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients at a set level for a designated period.
