Alicia Beeman, PT: Graduated from Daemen College in 2000 with a BS in PT. Since graduation, Alicia has worked in an acute care setting, including trauma care. Alicia joined the acute care staff of St. Peter's Hospital in 2003 and has continued with acute care, to date. In 2007, Alicia was certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation and has been working part-time at St. Peter's PT and Fitness treating primarily outpatient vestibular patients, patients experiencing balance disorders as well as general orthopedic patients. Heather Carangelo, PT, CLT: Graduated from Russell Sage College with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1988 and has been employed by St. Peter's Hospital since graduation. She has worked in a variety of settings including acute inpatient, rehab and, since 1995, has specialized in outpatient therapy. She has been a certified Lymphedema Therapist since 1999.

Carol Hennessy, OTR, CHT: Graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with a BS in Occupational Therapy and a Minor in Speech Communication in May 1984. Carol has been a certified hand therapist since 1992. She has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, nursing home and The Neurological Center at Meadowlands in Pennsylvania. She had been working per diem with St. Peter's and Seton for several years and came on board as a staff person in 2008.

Kevin Paulsen, PT: Graduated with a Master of Science in PT from Beaver College (Arcadia University) in 1995. He has been employed by St. Peter's since graduation with an emphasis in outpatient since 1999. He is McKenzie certified in the treatment of spine dysfunction but also uses a myriad of other techniques to suit each patient's needs. Kevin has found that some patients respond better to manual techniques while other patients respond better to exercises to promote proper alignment and posture.

Kate Robertson, PT, CLT: Graduated from Sage Colleges in 1995. She has worked in a private practice as well as St. Peter's Physical Therapy and Fitness. She received her certification as a Lymphedema Therapist in 2000 and also specializes in the treatment of urinary incontinence (including biofeedback and electric stimulation). (back to top)
Mary Ryan, PTA, CLT: Graduated from Maria College in 1980. Mary has worked at St. Peter's since graduation in a variety of settings including acute inpatient, rehab and outpatient departments. She has been working primarily in outpatient rehabilitation since 1990 and has been certified as a Lymphedema Specialist since 2001.

Ellen Shapiro, PT: Graduated with a BS from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1986 and an MS in Musculoskeletal PT in 1990 from Long Island University. Since graduation in 1990, she has worked primarily in orthopedics and has worked as Faculty at Sage Colleges from 1990-2001. She has worked in the outpatient department of St. Peter's since 2003. She is the lead therapist for the St. Peter's PT and Fitness Osteoporosis program. (back to top)
David Steck, PT: Graduated Springfield College in 1984 with a BS in Education with a Teaching Certification in Math, Science and Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training. He also attended Touro College and earned an MA in Physical Therapy in 2001. He is McKenzie certified in the treatment of spine dysfunction. Since graduation, he has worked at several hospitals and a private practice. He has worked at St. Peter's since 2000, primarily in outpatient with a specialty in orthopedics, spine care, industrial rehab, functional capacity testing and ergonomics. Dave also fabricates foot inserts and designs custom orthotics for more specialized patient needs. (back to top)
Nancy Sterantino, PT, MSHA: Graduated from Russell Sage College in 1989 and earned an MS in Health Administration from Sage College in 2000. Since graduation in 1989, she has worked in a variety of outpatient settings including St. Clare's Hospital, private practices and Community Health Plan/Kaiser Permanente. She has taken extensive continuing education classes in manual therapy. She has served as the supervisor for St. Peter's Physical Therapy and Fitness since 2005. Nancy's experience also includes working with women experiencing incontinence problems. (back to top)
