Visitation Guidelines Updated at St. Peter's Hospital Effective April 10, 2017
Effective April 10, new visitation guidelines will be in place at St. Peter's Hospital to better promote the health and well-being of our hospitalized patients, and to foster safety and security for patients and staff.
Under the new guidelines, general visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. A designated support person, chosen by the patient, will be allowed 24/7 visitation access. The support person should check in at the nurses’ station before 9 p.m. each evening, where he or she will receive an ID badge.
Please note, while these guidelines apply to most areas of the hospital, due to the care provided in certain areas such as critical care and the emergency department, some units follow different guidelines. Additionally, the nursing staff in any patient care area has the authority to limit visitation based on a patient's care needs.
